Install Tamery

Tamery comes in three forms — web, desktop, and CLI. All share the same account and cloud-synced connections.

The desktop app is recommended for most users. It runs a local proxy, so localhost and private-network databases work without extra setup.

Web

No install. Open tamery.app, sign in, and connect.

To reach local databases from the web app, run tamery proxy (see the CLI) and point a connection at it.

Homebrew (recommended)

brew install --cask tamery

Direct download

Requires macOS 12 Monterey or later.

Requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).

Arch (AUR)

yay -S tamery-bin
# or
paru -S tamery-bin

Then run tamery-app.Debian / Ubuntu

sudo dpkg -i tamery_*.deb

Fedora / RHEL / openSUSE

sudo dnf install ./tamery_*.rpm

AppImage

chmod +x Tamery-*.AppImage
./Tamery-*.AppImage

Download packages from tamery.app/download.

Requires Node.js 20+.

npm install -g tamery

Authenticate:

tamery login

This opens the browser sign-in flow and saves your session locally. See the CLI reference for all commands.
